Te-Awa Poodles has been taking in Poodles for re-homing for more than 15 years. We will list any available Poodles for rescue here. Please note these Poodles are for PETS ONLY. If you are looking for a breeding Poodle, please consult a reputable breeder.

All Poodles will be altered prior to leaving our home, will have started house training and will have learned to interact with other Poodles. They become a part of the household while they temporarily stay with us. Some of the rescued Poodles have come from less than desirable homes and most are not house trained upon arrival.

If you are considering a Rescue Poodle then you need to consider what amount of time you are prepared to put into this troubled Poodle. A pet is for a lifetime and if you are not prepared to take a Poodle home for life and deal with any issues it may have then a Rescue is not for you. I view them very much the same as adopting a human child that is older. When you take on that responsibility you are prepared to take on all the issues that come with that child, our Rescues are no different.

There is also a procedure we follow in placing the Poodles in the very best matched homes. You will need to fill out an application, if that application is approved then you will be required to sign a contract of agreement. Just because we have a Poodle in Rescue does not mean that it will be available to you. Each Poodles is matched to the very best possible home and not all are suitable to every applicant. A Poodle is a high maintenance canine and you will need to be prepared to take the Poodle for grooming once every six weeks. They are also highly intelligent and are very close to their providers so any that we are rehoming will take an adjustment period of sometimes up to 2 months. If you are not prepared to deal with this then do not get a RESCUE.

I am a busy person so please be patient with me getting back to you.
